विकसता विकसता......

  हिंडलगा जेलमधील कारावास आणि आप्पासाहेब पटवर्धनांचा सहवास : जेलमध्ये समध्येयी मंडळी एकत्र होती. याळगींचा गट कधी पोवाडे , कधी गाणी-पदावली म्हणून सर्वांची करमणूक करत असे. जेलमध्ये सभा संमेलने चालत , नाटके बसविली जात , कानडी , इंग्रजीचे क्लासेसही चालत. जेलमध्ये सदाशिवराव व मित्रमंडळींनी गांधी टोपी हे नाटक बसविले होते. हुबळीच्या दीक्षित गुरुजींची आध्यात्मिक प्रवचने चालत. तसेच सदुभाऊ जेलच्या पदार्थांना रुचकर कसे करता येईल याबाबत मनोवेधक चर्चाही करत असत. खाण्या-पिण्यात , वागण्यात- विचारात समानता असल्यामुळे जेलचे आयुष्य सुसह्य झाले. प्रेरणा (१) सन १९४४ सालचा फेब्रुवारी महिना असावा. वेंगुर्ला टपाल लुटीच्या खटल्यातून निर्दोष सुटल्याबरोबर सदाशिवरावांना स्थानबद्ध केले गेले व हिंडलगा जेलमध्ये पाठविले गेले. तेथील एका मोठ्या बराकीत शंभर लोकांमध्ये सदाशिवराव एक होते. स्थानबद्ध असल्यामुळे काम काहीच नव्हते. सूत कातणे , थोडे वाचन व चर्चा हाच दिवसाचा कार्यक्रम. दोन वेळ २-२ भाकऱ्या , कधी डाळ तर कधी पाल्याची पातळ भाजी असा खाना मिळे. मग हा पाला कधी शेवग्याचा तर कधी पोपईचाही असे. रविवारी थोडा कांदा व

Project-Based Learning (PBL): Learning in Action! 2 This year on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (75 years of India’s Independence) schools are organizing many activities. Students are participating in poster competitions, patriotic song competitions, collecting information about freedom struggle, organizing exhibitions, presenting roleplays and many more can be added to the list.        When I interacted with schools about Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav activities, many school leaders told me that they had taken a project this year and their students are reading biographies of freedom fighters, and collecting patriotic songs. They would work on this for a semester and culminate this study on the annual cultural day by presenting a drama. Our students would dress in period costumes to present role-plays and dances.        After hearing these narrations many questions came to mind:  What is a project?
