  बौद्धिक विकसनासाठी वाचन ‘वाचन कर’ असे सुचवल्यावर काहीजणांना आनंद होतो तर अनेकजणांच्या कपाळावर आठ्या उमटतात. का वाचायचे ! कसे वाचायचे ! कशासाठी वाचायचे ! वाचताना काय करायचे ! वाचून झाल्यावर काय करायचे ! वाचून काय होणारें !!     असे अनेक प्रश्न , प्रतिक्रिया अनेकांच्या मनात डोकावत असतात. त्याची उत्तरे शोधण्याचा जो प्रयत्न करतो त्याला ‘वाचन कर’ सुचवल्यावर आनंद होण्याची शक्यता जास्त असते. वाचकाचा   पहिला सामना होतो तो वाचनाच्या तंत्राशी. अक्षरे, जोडाक्षरे , विरामचिन्हे अशा सांकेतिक लिपीतील चिन्हांशी मैत्री करत वाचक अर्थापर्यंत म्हणजेच शब्दापर्यंत येऊन   पोचतो आणि इथे खरे वाचन सुरू होते. अनेक वाचक या सांकेतिक चित्रांच्या जंजाळातच गुरफटतात. चिन्हांशी मैत्री झाली की अर्थाच्या खोलात डुबी मारण्यासाठी वाचक,   शब्द आणि शब्दांच्या अर्थछटा,   समानार्थी, विरुद्धअर्थी शब्द, वाक्प्रचार, वाक्य अशा टप्प्यात प्रवेश करतो. वाक्याला समजून घेत परिच्छेद, निबंध अशा शब्दसमूहात वाचक प्रवेश करतो. शब्दाच्या, वाक्याच्या अर्थछटा समजून घेत पूर्वज्ञानाशी सांगड घालत आपल्...
